Cavansite

Cavansite is a brilliant blue hydrous calcium vanadium phyllosilicate mineral. It occurs as a secondary mineral in basaltic and andesitic rocks along with a variety of zeolite minerals. Its name is derived, simply, from its chemical composition, calcium vanadium silicate. Our specimens were mined from quarries around Wagholi, Pune (formerly Poona), Maharashtra, India.
