This luminous sterling silver pendant is made from the wing of the magnificent Morpho sulkowskyi butterfly (commonly called pearl morpho). It can be found in the cloud forests of the Andes mountains in Columbia, Ecuador and Peru. Morpho butterflies are known for their wonderful iridescence, a phenomenon where the color seems to change gradually depending on your viewing angle.
