Shark

Carcharocles megalodon is an extinct species of shark. It represents the largest predatory fish ever to have lived in the history of our planet. Its exact size is under debate, but it is believed to have grown up to 55-60 feet and have weighed as much as 50-75 tons with its massive, serrated teeth reaching up to 7 1/4 inches!!! Its diet likely consisted of whales and other large marine animals. Carcharocles megalodon ruled the seas from the mid Miocene (15.9 – 11.6 million) until becoming extinct (it is believed) at the end of the Pliocene (2.6 million).
